Several months ago, my company and I were involved in the packaging design of a Costco product made by NH Foods Ltd. ; a Japanese food processing conglomerate.

In the beginning, my illustrations were only supposed to be on the back of the packaging , but they ended up being added the sides of it as well.
This meant that while my talented designer-colleague was in the design on the front of the packaging, I designed and illustrated the other three sides.
The product, "Tebasaki Karaage" has been a very popular food with Japanese people for a long time, so we decided to make the imagery of the packaging in a traditional Japanese style. I researched the pictures accordingly, then illustrated an old-fashioned family sitting around a table on one side of the package.

You can see the mother wearing a "kimono" , as well as a "kappogi", which is a coverall-type apron that women in old times used to wear.

I'm so grateful that my boss and our clients at NH Foods Ltd. appreciated my illustration style and let me have this opportunity to illustrate an important product.
